This blog heartily endorses typewriters, fountain pens, analog cameras, print media, retrotech, mail art, independent publishing, paper notebooks, Model M keyboards, letter writing, Alphasmarts, bookbinding, woodcase pencils, zines, ephemera, book arts, letterpress, Polaroid, rubber stamps, and fellow paper-based romantics who like the sound of a typewriter bell at the end of a sentence.
Silent Type is a print zine of typewriter and ephemera-themed essays, prose, poetry, photography, collages, and other stuff written and photographed by members of the typosphere. It is edited by myself and Brandon MacInnis.
Silent Type #1 was published in October 2009 and Silent Type #2 was published in October 2010. Links to PDF copies of both issues are available for free (click the issue name in this paragraph).
Both issues are currently for sale in print from Microcosm Publishing. (Note: they were printed in a limited run, so when they run out, they're gone!)
