Typewriter on Parks & Recreation

I don't know how many of y'all watch Parks & Recreation (I do, it's a pretty good show), but there was a funny bit about an Underwood typewriter in a recent episode.

That clip is hilarious. I don't really watch much tv but Lyndsay showed me that clip the other day. She and my brother-in-law tease me that I am that guy (Jim?) because I always want to do things like camp in the "roughing it" sort of way and have interests in non-electronic things like whittling and reading books and such.

I like that show but it's on so LATE since they brought it back.
Thanks for posting this clip. That looks a lot like my Underwood but I had trouble seeing past the captions.

His name is Ron Swanson. From Wikipedia: "He enjoys woodworking, breakfast foods, and the works of Ayn Rand."

I didn't think Ron Swanson could get any cooler.

A couple of people from my writing group mentioned that clip a couple weeks ago...not sure what that says about what they think about me:)

If Uppercase is willing to sell the Silent Type copies, how much should the price be so they can make something and you can get what you need?

"Original carriage return?" What does that even MEAN? Oh, just another example of the suppression of the typewriter lover at the hands of THE MAN.

Lol that's not an Underwood 5, but it's awesome that they even bothered to do a bit of research on the subject! It's an Underwood Master Model. But, either way, that was hilarious! I love Parks And Recreation!

My wife and I were watching when this segment came up. She looked at me as if I had arranged the whole thing. I might have, you never know.

I once took my Hermes Baby on the train (businessclass). I was not popular, to say the least...
